Alihoco, led by company founder Tom Warsop, offer all-inclusive holiday packages for a wide range of budgets and locations. They are part of the Freedom Travel Group, a travel consortium owned by Thomas Cook and the Co-Operative Group, which offers them a stable infrastructure for their business. We asked Tom what made him decide to lease a domain name. He told us,

“Leasing meant that we had no upfront investment to find, yet we still got the domain name we really wanted. We literally just started paying the monthly fee for the domain, and got full use of it immediately. We were then in a position to re-evaluate how much seed capital was needed to set up our business, and as a result managed to retain a bigger personal share”.

They asked us to consider some flexibility in the lease price for the initial few months whilst they developed their web site. The site has been live since the middle of December 2010, and is already starting to rank well for the search term “all inclusive”. With a handful of bookings already under their belt, the future looks bright for this enthusiastic young company.
